Our Story

Our church history begins with the personal history of our Founding and Lead Pastor, Timothy James Ferrill. Pastor Tim was born into a preacher’s home. He was raised by his parents to love God, love people, and love life. At the age of six Pastor Tim invited Jesus Christ to be his best-friend, personal Savior, and Lord of his life. At the age nine Pastor Tim received his call to become a Pastor and Evangelist. At the age of fourteen Pastor Tim delivered his first Gospel message on a Sunday night at his father’s home church. Since that time Pastor Tim has traveled the country delivering hundreds of messages to thousands of people. Pastor Tim served eight years as Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Senior Pastor in a mainline denomination. In the year 2002 Pastor Tim received a second calling from Christ to plant a church in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois and to call it The Tabernacle. On Sunday morning March 2, 2014 Pastor Tim along with a Launch Team of forty people partnered together to start The Tab.
